Mentoring Youth
Beginning in September, Centro will be offering mentoring to Latino youth through our new Latino Youth Mentoring Program. We will be matching at-risk Latino youth, ages 11 to 17 with adults older than 18, who self-identify as Latino. Mentors and mentees will be matched up based on shared interests skills, and gender. Our mentors will offer a minimum one hour per week of relationship building activities; will develop relationships with the youth's parents or guardians; and will offer culturally and linguistically appropriate support to the youth and their Latino families.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to mentor Latino youth.
